Good morning lovelies! It’s Mother’s Day today in the UK, and I have chosen a suitably girly fragrance to douse myself in.
In all honesty, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet is not my normal sort of scent. I usually go for much warmer, creamier fragrances that stay close to the skin throughout the day. Blooming Bouquet is more of a cool scent, that starts off pleasantly light and floral.
TOP NOTES: Sicilian Mandarin
MIDDLE NOTES: Pink Peony, Damask Rose, Apricot, Peach.
BASE NOTES: Musk
For me, initially, the dominant notes are the Pink Peony and Damask Rose. I can’t say that I detect much in the way of fruit at first spray; or when it dries down. As the day goes on I can definitely smell a light muskiness, and I think that is why I like it so much. For much of my teenage years, (until I discovered Clinique Happy) White Musk from The Body Shop was my scent of choice. The perfumes are not really similar, but there is a little something in Blooming Bouquet that takes me back to my White Musk years.
Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet is probably more suited to spring and summer, when the days are warm and you don’t need, or want, your perfume to be. It is light and inoffensive. I wouldn’t describe it as unique, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is one of my most reached for perfumes.
